Work with Judy
I use a unique skill-based approach that blends practical neuroscience, positive psychology principles, heart-focused practices, and compassionate coaching support that can help you transform patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, even if those patterns feel deeply embedded and have been around for years.
This is the same approach I have used with many hundreds of patients and clients to help them build emotional resilience and increase well-being physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Skill building
This 4-week skill-building program will help you learn why your brain and nervous system react the way they do and help you learn concrete skills to interrupt and transform patterns of anxiety and emotional reactivity.
This work is not talk therapy. When we work together we don’t analyze where the emotional reactivity came from. We focus on where your nervous system is right now and we build a flexible toolkit that can repattern unhelpful responses. The goal of the program is not to give you more coping skills, it is to empower you to “get your hands on the controls” of your nervous system and change your baseline stress response so you are less reactive and more in control, more of the time.
If you don’t already have one, you will be able to purchase at a discount an Inner Balance HRV sensor and learn to use it to get immediate feedback about your nervous system states.
Coaching
Having skills to manage your nervous system is crucial to well-being, but sometimes they are not enough. If there are things in your life that are out of balance or if unhelpful ways of thinking, reacting, and behaving have become habitual, skills can only go so far.
Whether you struggle with chronic stress and anxiety, work/life balance, stress eating, anger and irritability with others, or are wanting to experience greater self-compassion, inner peace, and greater possibility in life, we can work together to identify the changes you would like to see and create an achievable and sustainable path forward.
Harnessing the power of the brain and the science of habit change makes it easier to create change that lasts. Compassionate support and accountability help keep you on track so that you can increase health and well-being on all levels – physically, mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, founder of the Polyvagal Theory, the Safe and Sound Protocol is an evidence-based therapeutic tool designed to reset the nervous system and help it orient to a state of connection and safety.
The SSP is not intended as a stand-alone intervention and I offer the SSP program and coaching as an add-on to my coaching packages as appropriate based in individual client histories and situations.
The first step in exploring whether SSP will be an effective part of your wellness journey is to book a free 20-minute consultation call with me by contacting me using the form below.

What people are saying...
Working with Judy is like having a personal trainer for my nervous system.
I’m a big fan of the powerful methods Judy uses for anxiety relief, happiness, and supporting trauma recovery.
The techniques Judy uses are both simple and profoundly effecticve.
Judy teaches and shares her immense knowledge in ways that are understandable and relatable.
As the VP of Operations at a major lighting and furniture company in Manhattan, the daily stresses of the job compounded with my already heightened anxiety resulted in frequent debilitating panic attacks. I have never found anything more helpful than this 12-week program.
Approaching anxiety from the bottom up was so effective. I have tried CBT, IFS, and “talk therapy,” and never felt as though it had significant impact. Judy provided me with invaluable tactics and support. I left the program feeling more grounded, able to handle the stressors and ultimately less anxiety. ~ AS, VP of Operations
In a short period of time, my work with Judy dissolved patterns and beliefs that were holding me back – many of which I was unaware of. Because the tools seemed so simple, I was skeptical the shifts I was experiencing would last. Not only have they lasted, but I have the tools to use anytime. Truly life changing! ~ CL, Accountant
I am an Integrative Wellness Coach, Educator, and Trainer, not a psychotherapist. The tools and approaches I use are intended to help clients learn skills to manage their nervous systems and to support them in behavior change. Skill-building and coaching support can be an effective adjunct to other forms of treatment, but they are not a substitute for appropriate medical or mental health care. I do not take insurance, although some HSAs may reimburse for health coaching.
