Live with Intention - and Attention
This is hanging on the wall in my office and I read it as part of my practice every morning. It helps keep me aligned with what is important to me.
of us have no problem setting an intention. But following through on that intention is often challenging. Why? Because when it comes to changing our habitual ways of thinking, feeling, or doing, consistent attention is actually far more important.
With all of the distractions and multi-tasking, it can be hard to sustain our attention on anything for very long. The result? Our habits run the show.
Intention plus attention is the way we change them. Try choosing one of these things to focus on for the day and see what happens. You get to choose where your attention goes and the more you practice, the easier it gets.
